    Time to get fit for summer?

    Fitness ChallengeThe evening started as normal with Flag break and inspection.  One patrol each week goes outside to learn about Axe and Saw.  This involves how to use them safely and look after the equipment.  Cutting and chopping up wood from the local woods and also wood from the scout hut.

    The rest of the patrol had a number of activities to achieve for fitness these including:

    • Push Ups
    • Sit ups
    • Shuttle Run
    • Skipping
    • Hoola Hoops
    • Balancing on one leg

    Within pairs the scouts did an exercise for a minute to see how many times they could do the activity.  After the minute was up they took there heart rate and both were recorded.  Then they would move onto the next exercise.  After an hour all the activities have been done and its time for some games to finish the evening off.
