    How fit are our Scouts?

    Fitness ChallengeUnfortunately due to Skip being ill the previous week we were unable to continue the fitness challenge last week.  Instead it was a games night last week that everyone enjoyed.  This week it was back to the normal with fitness and axe and saw.

    The night started with flag break and a quick game, before inspection.  After inspection Kestrels went outside to learn about the use of axe and saw.  The rest of the troop spent some time improving there fitness scores from the previous week, doing the following activities:

    • Push Ups
    • Sit ups
    • Shuttle Run
    • Skipping
    • Hoola Hoops
    • Balancing on one leg

    After a hour of hard work recording scores and heart rates it was time for a break and some games.  Kestrels after a quick hot chocolate joined the rest of the troop with the games.  After playing four games of Cat and Mouse (the one skips knows :-)), ladders, and duck it was time to finish the evening with a few notices and the latest scores in the patrol competition.

    Dependent on Leaders / helpers we may be doing first aid on Monday instead of fitness and axe and saw.  Please remember to bring your coats just incase though.
